OUR STORY

Somebody is asking right now.

In a comment section somewhere, a person is describing a film they cannot name and hoping a stranger recognises it. Bazoom exists because that is a solvable problem and nobody had solved it properly.

01 — WHERE IT STARTED

The question that never gets answered.

You are shown a clip. A few seconds of something with no title, no caption, and a hundred people underneath it asking what it is. The answer exists. It is just not reachable from where you are standing.

Describing what you saw does not work, because the description is the hard part. Bazoom starts from the other end: you already have the picture, so let the picture do the asking.

02 — WHAT WE DECIDED

It is allowed to say it does not know.

The easy version of this product always answers. It returns its best guess dressed up as a result, and it is confidently wrong often enough to be useless.

Bazoom returns a confidence band rather than a number, and it has a state for not being sure and a state for a title simply not being in the library. Those states cost us something every time they appear. We kept them, because a tool you cannot trust when it is certain is not a tool.

  • WE KNOW IT

  • WE SAY SO

  • WE DO NOT GUESS

03 — WHERE IT IS NOW

Not released yet.

Bazoom is in private beta. The library it recognises from is starting focused and growing, and the beta is where that happens.

There is no launch date to give you, so we are not inventing one. Join the list and you will hear once, when it opens.
